What Happens After You Get in Touch
Medina Concrete is a small company, and owner Francisco Medina reads every request himself. When your form or call comes in, he gets back to you to talk through the project: what you want built, roughly how big it is, what is there now and when you would like it done. If you call during office hours, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will usually be talking to him directly.
Next comes the free estimate. Francisco looks at the job himself, because concrete is priced by what is under it as much as what goes on top. He checks the size of the area, which way the ground falls, where rain runs after a storm, whether old concrete or asphalt has to be broken out, and how a truck will reach the pour.
From there you get a price for the scope you talked through, with the choices spelled out: thickness, steel, joint layout, drainage and the finish, whether that is a broom finish, stamped concrete or something else. The estimate is free and there is no obligation. Take the time you need to decide.
It helps to mention in the form which town the job is in and anything you already know, such as a sloped yard, a deck that will sit over the slab, or a fence that has to come down first. Are estimates free?
Yes. Every project starts with a free estimate, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
Who will I talk to when I call?
Francisco Medina, the owner. He answers the phone and does every estimate himself.
What are your office hours?
Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You can send the form at any time and Francisco will get back to you.
What should I put in the form?
The kind of work, the town or address, a rough size and what is there now, such as an old driveway or bare ground. Mention anything unusual, like a steep yard or a deck that will go over the slab. If you are not sure what to call it, describe it in your own words.
Do you work outside Powder Springs?
Yes. We work across Cobb, Paulding and Douglas counties, including Marietta, Austell, Mableton, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Hiram, Dallas, Douglasville and Lithia Springs. For a bigger job farther out, call and ask.
