Medina Concrete is a concrete company based in Powder Springs, GA, in southwest Cobb County. It is owned and run by Francisco Medina. We pour driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, slabs and foundations, build retaining walls, and take on the decks, pergolas, fences and framing that so often go with a concrete job.
About Medina Concrete in one line: it is a small company, and that shapes how it works. Francisco answers the phone, comes out to look at the job, and prices every estimate himself. Nobody hands your project from a salesperson to someone else, because the person you met is the person responsible for it.
We work across west metro Atlanta, in Cobb, Paulding and Douglas counties, and we will travel farther for a bigger job. Se habla español.

The Person Who Answers Is the Person Who Prices It
When you call (678) 658-3639, you reach Francisco. He asks what you have in mind, then comes out and looks at the site: how big the area is, which way the ground falls, where the water goes after a storm, what has to be broken out, and whether a truck can reach the pour.
That visit is where most of the decisions get made. How thick the slab should be, whether it needs steel, where the control joints go, and what finish you want are all talked through before you get a price. The estimate is free, and it is yours to think over.
What We Build
Concrete
Concrete is most of the work. That means concrete driveways, often replacing an old cracked slab or worn-out asphalt, along with backyard patios, stamped concrete, front walks and steps, shed pads, shop floors, footings and foundations, and block or poured retaining walls.
Outdoor builds
Plenty of patios end up with something on or around them. We build decks, timber pergolas and pavilions, and wood privacy fences with gates.
Carpentry and remodeling
Francisco also handles framing for garages, porches and additions, plus home additions and remodeling. When the job starts with a slab or a footing, it can stay with one company from the ground up.
How We Approach a Concrete Job
Concrete in this part of Georgia sits on red clay, which holds water and moves a little as it wets and dries. Most of the driveways and patios that crack or sink early fail from underneath, so the work you never see gets the attention: grading, a compacted base, steel where the load calls for it, and a pitch that sends rain away from the house.
Weather matters on the day of the pour as well. Summer heat can dry fresh concrete too fast, and a hard rain can ruin a surface that has not set, so the pour is planned around the forecast. Once the concrete is down, control joints are cut where the slab is most likely to crack, so any crack that does come follows a straight line instead of wandering across the middle.
After the job, simple care helps a slab last. Keep gutters and downspouts pointed away from it, and talk with Francisco about whether a sealer makes sense for your surface, especially for stamped or stained concrete.
